We started the Diplomatic Forum in 2013, at that time in cooperation with the former Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, Cyril Svoboda. During the last years, we have hosted 31 Ambassadors.
Our events have so far been composed by a presentation from the invited Ambassador followed by a discussion. Usually, we continue with a dinner with selected participants wishing to spend some time in a private atmosphere with our top diplomatic guests. In 2015-2016 we have held the events at a couple of Universities in Prague.
Our guests in 2016 have been the Ambassadors from Pakistan (two times), Thailand, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Israel, Canada, Azerbaijan, Italy, Armenia, Brazil, Austria, Egypt and Ireland. The event with the Ambassador of the United States, H.E. Andrew Shapiro has represented our most successful event so far. We have held a further event inviting the spouses of 4 Ambassadors who have talked about their role.
Our audience is mostly formed by diplomats, top managers of well-known companies, professionals in various fields and students (entry is free for students). However, we are open to the general public as well.
Our discussions have always been vivid and open, with the Ambassadors ready to accept a direct confrontation on “hot issues”.
