12.02.2025 Celebrating Milestones: 46th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and 100 Years of Diplomatic Relations between Iran and the Czech Republic

H.E. Mr. Seyed Majid Ghafeleh Bash, Ambassador of Iran invited representatives of the Diplomatic corps, Prague society and politic to celebrate together.

On February 12, 2025, the grand banquet halls of the OREA Hotel Pyramida in Prague were alive with celebration as dignitaries, diplomats, and cultural enthusiasts gathered to commemorate two significant milestones: the 46th Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution and the Centennial of Diplomatic Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Czech Republic. This auspicious event highlighted the rich history and the enduring friendship between the two nations.

 

The evening unfolded in an atmosphere of cultural exchange and mutual respect, with guests from various sectors including government officials, ambassadors, business leaders, and members of the Iranian community in Prague, expressing a mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral ties. The venue was elegantly adorned with a harmonious blend of Persian and Czech aesthetics, featuring a vibrant display of art and imagery symbolizing both nations’ histories and cultural achievements.

 

The ceremony commenced with the national anthems of Iran and the Czech Republic, followed by a warm welcome from the Iranian Ambassador to the Czech Republic. In his opening address, the ambassador reflected on the transformative journey since the Islamic Revolution—a pivotal event that redefined Iran’s place on the global stage. He highlighted the resilience and progress of the Iranian people and articulated a vision for future diplomatic endeavors with the Czech Republic, emphasizing areas of potential cooperation in trade, technology, and cultural exchanges.

 

A key feature of the anniversary celebration was a cultural presentation showcasing the rich heritage of Iran. Guests were treated to mesmerizing performances of traditional Iranian music and dance, alongside an exhibition featuring Persian art, calligraphy, and photography. These cultural offerings provided a window into Iran’s historical depth and artistic traditions, creating an engaging and enlightening experience for attendees.
