Ambasada Shqiptare në Pragë / Albánské velvyslanectví v Praze

MARCH 8 IN PRAGUE
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, under the auspices of the Embassy of Albania and Kosovo in Prague, a meeting was organized for women and girls from all Albanian lands living in the Czech Republic. In their speech Ambassadors Ilirian Kuka and Albesjana Iberhysaj greeted the ladies and gentlemen who had gathered in honor of March 8, highlighting the prominent role they play in the social, political, cultural, economic life of every nation, but also for their role of irreplaceable within every family.
Ambassador Kuka brought to attention that Albanian women are increasingly becoming evident in social, political and academic life while also holding important leadership positions. For this he also referred to the current number of women holding the post of Minister in the Albanian Government, but he said, there are many successful Albanian women in other fields not only inside but also abroad. However, these achievements cannot be considered exhaustive and there is still room for further activation and promotion of Albanian women in the public sphere.
