Armenia President, Czech Rep. new envoy discuss chances of resuming flights between Yerevan, Prague

On January 2, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Armenia, Petr Piruncik, presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan. The President congratulated the ambassador and noted the significance of the timing, as it marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the President and Ambassador discussed the potential for increasing and deepening trade and economic relations, as well as cooperation in areas such as high technology, military industry, and tourism. They also discussed the possibility of resuming flights between Yerevan and Prague.

The importance of reciprocal visits and high-level political contacts were also emphasized during the meeting. Both parties agreed to maintain working contacts in order to bring the discussed cooperation to fruition. Ambassador Piruncik conveyed greetings from the President of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, to the Armenian President.
