ČEZ builds ultra-fast charging stations for KM-PRONA in Czech Republic
The Czech Republic’s KM-PRONA service station chain is cooperating with ČEZ to equip its retail locations with ultra-fast chargers.
After the premiere in Velká Úpa in the Krkonoše Mountains, more stands will be built in other places, allowing drivers to power their electric vehicles (EV) in a few minutes. These locations will be established across the D10 motorway, including a large charging hub with 8 chargers.
Apart from the support of the country’s operator of the most powerful public charging network, these charging stations are also being built thanks to a grant from the Operational Programme Transport.
“In the first phase, we will be installing stands with ČEZ in Velká Úpa, Zásmuky and around the D10 motorway in Hodkovice nad Mohelkou, Liberec and Mnichovo Hradiště. If the stands prove to be successful in operation, they could become part of the services for drivers at our other petrol stations as well,” said Vladimír Minařík, Managing Director of KM-PRONA.
ČEZ has set itself the goal of reaching 800 operating stands for charging electric vehicles by 2025 and multiplying their capacity as part of its Clean Energy Tomorrow vision.
KM-PRONA has been operating on the Czech market of filling stations for more than 20 years, operating nearly 50 pumps throughout the country.
