ČEZ is also making energy cheaper by offering fixes with a gradual decrease in price

The Czech Republic’s largest domestic energy supplier, ČEZ, has announced a new pricing strategy aimed at making energy cheaper for its customers. In a press release, the company stated that it would be offering price lists with a fixation for both electricity and gas, where the price will decrease each year to reflect the expected decline in market prices. This offer is available to both existing customers and new clients, and even those who sign up for an open-ended contract.

According to General Director of ČEZ Prodej, Tomáš Kadlec, a household that heats with gas could save up to CZK 10,000 per year compared to the government’s ceiling price. He also stated that while electricity prices are not expected to decrease as fast as gas prices, the savings compared to the ceiling could be up to CZK 700 per megawatt hour. In the first year, however, the price will be the same as the government’s ceiling.

ČEZ has stated that it will post specific price lists on its website within the next 14 days. The company also added that it would continue to update the price lists throughout the year if the decline in wholesale prices continues. ČEZ has approximately 1.5 million regular customers with fixed contracts, with hundreds of thousands of them expected to see their contracts end soon.

This move by ČEZ follows the trend set by other large energy suppliers such as Innogy and E.ON, who have already announced energy price cuts this year for both regular and new customers. This shift towards lower energy prices is aimed at making energy more accessible and affordable for households, which will in turn help boost the country’s economy.

In conclusion, ČEZ’s new pricing strategy is expected to benefit both existing and new customers by providing them with lower energy prices. This is in line with the trend set by other large energy suppliers and is a reflection of the company’s commitment to making energy more accessible and affordable for households. The implementation of this strategy is expected to be a positive step towards boosting the country’s economy and improving the standard of living for its citizens.
