Education Minister of Armenia, Czech Ambassador discuss measures to strengthen cooperation

Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, and Deputy Minister Artur Martirosyan met with Czech Ambassador to Armenia Petr Pirunčík to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and development opportunities. According to the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, there has been significant progress in a number of joint projects, and the activities outlined in the “On cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Czech Republic in the fields of culture, education, youth, science, and sports” agreement continue to be implemented. The Armenian minister also noted that the draft of the extension of the agreement “On cooperation in the fields of education and science between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of the Czech Republic” has been developed and transferred to the Czech side.

During the meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of interaction between their countries and universities and expressed readiness to support their strengthening and expansion. They also discussed programs for student exchange, interstate scholarships, and other bilateral issues of interest. The Czech Ambassador noted that the embassy is ready to support the implementation of joint projects and initiatives between Armenia and the Czech Republic, especially in the fields of education, culture, and sports.

The Armenian Minister expressed her gratitude for the support provided by the Czech side and stressed the importance of the development of cooperation in the areas of education, science, and culture. She also expressed hope that the two countries would expand their cooperation in these fields, especially in the area of student exchange programs.

Armenia and the Czech Republic have a history of strong bilateral relations, and the two countries cooperate in various fields, including education, culture, and sports. The Czech Republic is also a member of the European Union, and Armenia has been working towards strengthening its ties with the EU. In recent years, Armenia has undertaken several reforms aimed at improving the quality of its education system and promoting international cooperation in this field.

The meeting between the Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, the Deputy Minister, and the Czech Ambassador highlights the continued efforts to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise between Armenia and the Czech Republic.
