Due to the oil crisis, car-free Sundays were introduced in Denmark back in 1973. 🚫🚗 Today we are experiencing a new energy crisis, offering an opportunity to take inspiration from the energy-saving measures of the 1970s.
Therefore, last Sunday the Copenhagen street Nørrebrogade, which is normally full of traffic and engine noise, had a car-free Sunday. A great example of how to use urban spaces in new ways when cars are gone 🙋
Could you imagine a car-free day where you come from?
