Embassy of Denmark in the Czech Republic

Libraries play an important role in Danish democracy 📚 proč️ And why is that so?
Not only do libraries provide free access to books and IT equipment for everyone, but they also bring people of all ages, ethnicities, and social classes together through information, conversations, and culture sharing.
The first Danish library was founded at the University of Copenhagen in 1482, but only rich and educated people had access to books.
Today, however, all libraries in Denmark are financed by public funds and are accessible to everyone! 26% of Danes use the library once to three times a month 🙋.
Do you also go to the library and which library do you like best?
