We invite you to the next vernissage of the exhibition “Danish Jews in Terezín” on Thursday 12. October at 4 pm in Lidice Memorial 🤍
The exhibition tells the story of Danish Jews who found themselves in Terezín in October 1943. The exhibition was created and translated by teachers and students from the Department of Scandinavistics of the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University and will be exhibited in Lidice until 14. of November.
Several events are also planned throughout Denmark on the occasion of 80. anniversary on October 1943 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Danish Institute for International Studies are currently hosting an international conference and commemoration event in the fishing village of Gilleleje with the participation of national delegations from the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. The village of Gilleleje was one of the key starting points for Danish Jews fleeing to Sweden.
The conference will deal with how best to learn from the events of the past – good and bad – and how best to pass on the lessons of the Holocaust to younger generations.

We invite you to the opening exhibition of ‘Danish Jews in Theresienstadt’ on Thursday 12 October at 16 in Lidice Memorial 🤍
The exhibition tells the lives of the Danish Jews who ended up in Theresienstadt in October 1943. Teachers and students from the Faculty of Arts of Charles University have made and translated the exhibition which will be available for everyone in Lidice Memorial until 14 November.
Throughout Denmark several events are also planned to mark the 80th commemoration of October 1943. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Danish Institute of International Studies are right now hosting an international conference and a memorial service in the fishing village of Gilleleje with participation from national delegations to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Gilleleje was one of the key departure points for the Danish Jews fleeing to Sweden.
