Ukraine at this year’s Noc literatury is represented by the book Point Zero by Artem Čech.
📖 The book is “a collection of miniature short stories or literary reports, capturing the whole period of the author’s frontline experience from joining the army to returning to civilian life. “

Artem Čech (* 1985) is a Ukrainian novelist and essayist. He made his literary debut in 2007 and has nine books of fiction and factual literature in his writer’s account. His work was fundamentally influenced by war experience. Between 2015-2016 he spent ten months in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The war in Donbas, in which he participated, changed his outlook on life, death and everyday life once and for all. He is currently fighting Russian aggression as a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Noc literatury 2022 v Praze WILL BE ON THE 21st. September on the Small Side in Prague 1
Contemporary authors, unusual places and famous personalities: this is the face of the public reading series – Literature Night. The project is organized by Česká centra/Czech Centres in cooperation with EUNIC Prague, foreign embassies in the Czech Republic and Labyrinth publishing house.
The aim of the Night of Literature is to increase public interest in contemporary European literature and its thought and creative streams.
Read at the same time in all places, in 15 minute intervals. Reading starts are the same in all places: 6 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm, 7 pm , 8 pm, 8 pm, 9 pm, 9 pm , 22:30 So in one hour, one sample is read twice in each place and two groups of viewers are exchanged. Viewers choose the places and reading they visit according to the map. Map and brochure will be available to download in advance on the website www.nocliteratury.cz. Reading entrance is free.
