Embassy of Ukraine in Prague / Velvyslanectví Ukrajiny v Praze

Ukraine has received clear assurances from the Czech Republic of permanent strong support in all areas. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Šmyhal at a press conference, at which he spoke with Czech Prime Minister Peter Fiala after intergovernmental negotiations in Kiev.
“We agreed on further activities of the joint intergovernmental commissions in all areas, especially in the areas of industrial, scientific and technical cooperation. It is in our collective interest that these intergovernmental commissions resume their operations as soon as possible. Ukraine would be interested in selling its commodities, especially steel production on EU markets, especially on the Czech market, where it could replace Russian steel, which was on the European market before the introduction of sanctions,” Denys Šmyhal said.
Denys Šmyhal especially appreciated the Czech support of sanctions policy. According to him, during the consultations, the issue of confiscation of frozen Russian property as compensation for the damage caused by Russia in Ukraine was raised.
The Government of the Czech Republic has supported the idea of establishing an international tribunal to condemn the military-political leadership of Russia for its criminal war against our country.
According to the Ukrainian Prime Minister, military-technical cooperation with the Czech Republic will actively develop: “Czech self-propelled howlers “Dana”, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other assistance have already significantly strengthened the Ukrainian army and helped with the liberation of Ukrainians of the ancient land. But we do not stop there, we prepare many more unpleasant surprises for the aggressor. “
