On Saturday we will remember the 90th. anniversary of the famine in Ukraine caused by the Soviet-Russian Bolshevik regime in 1932-1933. For this sad anniversary of Stalin’s genocide of Ukrainians by starvation, Slovanská knihovna – NK ČR has prepared an exhibition called Hunger in Ukraine 1932-1933, which you can visit until the 10th. December 2022
Through exhibition panels, copies of vintage springs and often shocking period photos telling about the immeasurable suffering of Ukrainians during the genocidal Holodomor. Part of the exhibition includes ten showcases with books on the topic of Ukrainian famine from the Slavic Library Fund, whether professional publications and editions of documents or memoirs.
The exhibition is open to the public in the exhibition hallway of the National Library of the Czech Republic in Prague’s Klementin until 10. December 2022, always from Monday to Saturday (9.00-19.00).

On Saturday, November 26, we will commemorate the 90th anniversary of the beginning of the Holodomor-genocide of the Ukrainian people in 1932-1933. To the anniversary of the tragedy in the National Library of Prague – one of the most prestigious bookstores in Central Europe – the exhibition about Holodomor in Ukraine 1932-33 years is ongoing.
In addition to exhibition stands, the exposition is also formed by editions in different languages about the Holodomor in Ukraine, which are stored in the Library’s funds. In particular, and the first Czech edition of the tragedy – the newsletter “Hunger on Ukraine”, issued in 1933 olgerdom bočkovsʹkim.
The exhibition is available from Monday to Saturday from 09.00 to 19.00 in the hallway of the Slavic library of the National Library of the Czech Republic in the historic complex Clementinum. In case of no reading ticket in the library, entrance to the exhibition costs 30 CZK.
