Get ready for a cooler weekend
A cold front will pass through our area on Thursday, affecting the weather in the following days. The weekend will bring below-average temperatures, which won’t get above 15 °C on Sunday. This should be the case at least until the middle of next week, meteorologist Dagmar Honsová said.
“On Thursday, a waving cold front will slowly advance across our territory to the southeast. It will be cloudy to cloudy, with rain or showers in most of the territory and occasional thunderstorms. Rainfall totals will range from 5 to 25 millimeters,” Honsová said.
Precipitation will diminish from the northwest during the afternoon and even cease in the evening. Maximum temperatures will range from 16 to 20 degrees Celsius, rising to 22 degrees Celsius in the South Moravian Region.
After passing a waving cold front, cold and moist air will flow into the Czech Republic from the northwest. Friday will be cloudy with showers and afternoon temperatures ranging from 15 to 19 degrees Celsius. Lows in the morning will range from 15 to 9 °C.
Saturday will be mainly cloudy with showers or rain in places. Partly cloudy skies will break from clouds only temporarily. Temperatures will fall between 9 and 5 degrees Celsius in the morning and remain between 15 and 19 degrees during the day.
Sunday will be cloudy to overcast, with rain or showers in most areas and mixed showers on mountain tops. Morning lows will range from 8 to 4 °C, with daytime lows ranging from 10 to 14 °C.
