Heat wipes out the arrival of the holidays

The hot days will continue into the last days of June. Cooler temperatures can be expected with the start of the holidays, the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute said in its monthly outlook. The week from 20 to 26 June is expected to be the hottest of the whole period, according to the outlook.

Above-normal temperatures will mark the last few days of June. Daily values should be around 29 degrees Celsius, reaching 34 degrees towards the end of the week. However, meteorologists warn that thunderstorms will accompany the whole week.

Cooler weather will likely arrive as the first days of the holiday season approaches. Meteorologists say temperatures should be more in the subnormal range. Maximum daytime temperatures should be between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures could return to normal by mid-July. The week of July 11-17 should be between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius.

Rainfall should be average for the next four weeks. However, thunderstorms may increase the amount of precipitation in places. Locally, therefore, the outlook states that heavier rainfall cannot be ruled out.
