After a rainy and cooler end to this week, Indian summer should arrive. Meteorologists expect rainfall to taper off and temperatures to start rising in mid-September. This is according to the monthly outlook of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute.

Meteorologists said a shallow furrow of low air pressure would begin to advance across central Europe from the west, and the associated cold front will wave. Towards the end of the week, cold and moist air from the northwest to the north will flow into the Czech Republic behind the cold front.

Temperatures during the week of September 12-18 will be between average and below average. Night-time temperatures will range between seven and 11 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will be between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius. It will probably be the coldest over the weekend when daytime temperatures will be between 10 and 15 degrees.

The warming will be gradual

The week of 19 to 25 September will see gradual warming. It should be partly cloudy to cloudy, with rain or showers. Morning temperatures are 9 to 4 °C. Daytime highs of 15 to 22 degrees Celsius.

During the week of September 26 to October 2, daytime temperatures should range from 14 to 22 degrees, with an average of 19 degrees. Night-time temperatures will be between 4 and 10 degrees.

From October 3 to 9, average temperatures should be around 16 degrees.
