“No glory.” That’s how one could describe the weather in the coming four weeks. This week is likely the coldest, with ground frosts possible even in the lowlands. The temperature is expected to get warmer in the next two weeks. Still, from October 10, meteorologists expect a permanent onset of cold weather, the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute said in its monthly outlook.

This week’s temperatures will initially stay below 15 degrees Celsius but will slowly start warming up. Saturday is likely the warmest day, with afternoon highs of up to 19 degrees Celsius. However, numerous ground touches of frost may occur overnight and into the morning of Wednesday. Meteorologists expect frequent showers, with snow in the mountains over the next few days.

The last week of September and the first days of October (September 26 to October 2) should be partly cloudy, with showers. Fog or low clouds may appear in the morning and early afternoon. Morning temperatures will be between three and nine degrees Celsius. Daytime highs will be between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius.

The first week of October (October 3 to 9) should see the nature of the weather hold. Morning temperatures are expected to be between three and nine degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will then range between 13 and 19 degrees Celsius.

In the last forecast week (10 to October 16), meteorologists expect it to cool down again, with a possible deviation of-2.5 °C from the long-term average. Night temperatures are expected to be between 0 and 7 degrees Celsius, with daytime temperatures averaging 12 degrees Celsius.

The long-term average temperature between September 19 and October 16 is 11.3 degrees Celsius. Regarding total rainfall, meteorologists expect the average period from September 19 to October 16.
