TEHDY A NYNÍ
Už včera jsme si připomněli 125. výročí prvního sionistického kongresu, který položil základy vzniku naší země, Státu Izrael.
Tato slavná fotografie Theodora Herzla byla pořízena o několik let později také v Basileji, na balkoně hotelu, v němž pobýval během 5. sionistického kongresu v roce 1901.
V roce 1987 tehdejší se tehdejší prezident Chaim Herzog nechal vyfotit na stejném místě. Jeho syn, současný prezident Jicchak Herzog, který nedávno navštívil Českou republiku, jej včera následoval.

THEN AND NOW
Yesterday we commemorated the 125th anniversary of the first Zionist Congress, which laid the foundation for the creation of our country, the State of Israel.
This famous photograph of Theodor Herzl was taken a few years later also in Basel, on the balcony of the hotel where he stayed during the 5th Zionist Congress in 1901.
In 1987, then-President Chaim Herzog had his picture taken at the same spot. His son, the current president Isaac Herzog, who recently visited the Czech Republic, had his taken yesterday.
