The poker community mourns the loss of German professional poker player Julian Track, who passed away at the age of 39 in a traffic accident. Track was a successful online poker player who transitioned to live tournaments, earning over $1 million in his career.

Track’s biggest accomplishment was winning the 2013 European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague Main Event, outplaying over 1,000 entries to take home €725,700 ($994,463). This win was even more impressive considering Track’s lack of experience in live poker and the talented final table he faced, which included top players like Stephen Chidwick, Max Silver, and Ole Schemion.

Despite his success in live tournaments, Track was primarily an online player using the screen name ‘jutrack.’ He was known for his prowess in pot-limit Omaha and had multiple victories in online satellites.

In addition to his EPT win, Track had four other recorded cashes in live events, with his last one coming in 2015 at the EPT Malta when he finished 8th in the €1,100 IPT Main Event for €21,000 ($22,233).

The poker world was deeply saddened by the news of Track’s passing, with many media outlets reporting on his accomplishments and paying tribute to his talent and passion for the game.
