Vyhodnotit 100 let diplomatických vztahů jako součet verbálních nót, vytvořených aliancí a objemu zboží, které si státy mezi sebou vyměnily, je lákavé. Představme si ale pro změnu tyto roky jako období plné literárních překladu, které otevírají dveře do kultur jiných zemí. Tato výstava představuje bohatou sbírku knih přeložených z jazyku Baltských státu do češtiny za posledních

100 let z kolekce Národní knihovny České republiky. Vzdává hold osobnostem a institucím, které se zasloužily o překládání a vydávání baltských literatur v České republice.

It is tempting to measure the 100 years of diplomatic relations as the sum of note verbales produced, alliances formed, and volumes of goods traded between each other. But for a change, let us imagine these years as literature translations representing the doors to each other’s cultures. This exhibition displays the rich collection of books translated from the Baltic States’ languages into Czech over the last 100 years, all picked up from the deposits of the National Library. It also pays tribute to the personalities and institutions who contributed to the translating and publishing of the Baltic literature in the Czech Republic.
