Liverpool’s Europa League Clash with Sparta Prague: Young Players Eager for Action

After winning 5-1 in Prague last week, Liverpool are in a good position to reach the Europa League quarter-finals tonight. Since they have a big FA Cup match against Manchester United on Sunday, Jurgen Klopp might change the team around.

LIVERPOOL’S RISING STAR: AMARA NALLO

Yesterday, many young players of Liverpool joined the team’s training session before the match. These players are becoming familiar faces in Liverpool’s season.

One of these players, who may not be as well known yet, is center-back Amara Nallo. Nallo was signed from West Ham United last season and has quickly made a name for himself at Liverpool.

Even though he’s only 17 years old, Nallo has been on the first-team bench twice recently. He was first included against Southampton in the FA Cup in February, and then as a substitute for Sunday’s big game against Manchester City

However, Nallo can’t play in the Europa League this season because of UEFA rules. But it probably won’t be too long before we see him make his debut.

LEWTAS ON LIVERPOOL’S YOUNG PLAYERS

Nallo and Nyoni are both new young players at Liverpool this season, catching people’s attention. Nyoni, who joined in the summer, has been more visible.

Nyoni was seen training yesterday and has already played his first game with the senior team. However, like Nallo, he can’t be in the squad for tonight’s match.

Still, Nallo has been just as impressive. In October, U21s coach Barry Lewtas praised Nallo for showing great potential and maturity by playing at a level higher than his age group.

“Amara was excellent, Him and Carter Pinnington have been playing quite regularly for us so far together. Listen, he [Nallo] is just 16, and I don’t think we’ve ever asked a lad that young to play at centre-back against senior opposition.”

“He should be really proud of his performance. I think the main thing for Amara is he played ever so well but he didn’t let any kind of mistakes or momentum shifts in the game affect him. So he didn’t play like a 16-year-old, that’s for sure.” Lewtas told liverpoolfc.com after a draw against Benfica.
