The Romanian Embassy has organised the National Day of Romania on the 1st December.   The 1st December represents the anniversary of the unification of Transylvania,  Bessarabia,  Bukovina with the Romanian Kingdom, which happened exactly on the 1st December 1918. The event has been celebrated at the prestigious Kaiserštejnský Palác in Mala Strana, in the heart of Prague. The palace has a rich history and takes its name from its first owner, who was a military commander.

The Ambassador of Romania, Her Excellency Antoaneta Barta, has welcomed the guests and offered a speech.  Besides other diplomats and Czech governmental officials, members of the Romanian community in the Czech Republic have also participated to the event.
