Access Bank Chairman and Honourable Consul to the Czech Republic, Dr. Mrs Ajoritsedere Awosika, has been appointed as the matron and adviser to the Eko Inspires Me Academy project, a non-profit initiative aimed at taking street children off the streets of Lagos. The Founder of the NGO, Aralola Olamuyiwa, who is popularly known as ARA, made the announcement during a courtesy visit to Awosika at her Ikoyi Lagos office.

The Eko Inspire Me Academy was established to cater to street children in Lagos who are seen as a menace and threat to peaceful living in a smart city like Lagos. The NGO seeks to identify and motivate the street children to leave their assumed lifestyles and become better citizens with a hope for a better tomorrow.

Olamuyiwa reiterated Awosika’s public service records, corporate boardroom achievements, and her love for service to humanity as reasons for adopting her as matron to Eko Inspires Me Academy. Awosika was grateful for the honor of being appointed as the matron and adviser to the NGO.

She commended ARA for staying tall among men and for devoting time to helping the less privileged. Awosika also appreciated the Eko Inspires Me Academy initiative as a major problem solver that could reduce the worries of the Lagos State Government significantly. She prayed that the project should go international alongside the United Nations Strategic Development goals.
