🇬🇧 On 10 July 2024, His Excellency Mr. Suwat Kaewsook, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Czech Republic, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Roman Zarzycký, Mayor of Plzeň City, as part of the efforts to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties with the city.
During the courtesy call, the Ambassador and Mayor Zarzycký discussed potential areas to enhance Thailand-Plzeň relationships, with a particular focus on cultural and educational exchanges. The meeting underscored Thailand’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and mutual growth opportunities.
On the same day, H.E. Mr. Kaewsook also visited Škoda Transportation to explore possibilities for cooperation in the field of transportation. The visit highlighted the historic ties between Škoda and Thailand, which date back to His Majesty the King Rama VII’s official visit to Czechoslovakia 90 years ago in 1934, where His Majesty the King also visited industrial centers and businesses, including the Škoda Enterprise.
