Snake found in hotel room in Prague 2 district, placed in animal shelter for homeless animal

In a bizarre incident, a hotel in Prague 2 district reported finding a snake in one of the rooms left behind by a guest. The hotel administrator immediately called the emergency line 156, and the police dispatched an animal control officer to the scene.

Upon investigation, the snake was identified as a harmless royal python measuring about one meter in length. The expert safely captured the reptile and took it to a shelter for homeless animals in the Troya area, where it is being kept until the owner claims it.

If the owner fails to come forward, the snake will be available for adoption to anyone interested. The incident caused a stir among the local media and raised concerns about the safety of guests staying in the hotel.

While such incidents are rare, it is not uncommon for hotels to encounter unexpected guests, such as rodents or insects. Hotels need to have protocols in place to handle such situations swiftly and effectively to ensure the safety and comfort of their guests.

In this instance, the hotel administrator acted quickly and responsibly by contacting the emergency line, and the police and animal control officer responded promptly to the situation. The expert handling of the situation ensured the safe capture and relocation of the snake.

While the discovery of a snake in a hotel room may have been a shock to the hotel staff and guests, the harmless nature of the royal python would have provided some relief. The incident also highlights the importance of animal control services and shelters that provide care and support for lost or abandoned animals.
