Summer temperatures are cut by a midweek cold front

Warm and humid air from the southwest will flow into the Czech Republic at the beginning of the new working week, with temperatures rising to 27 degrees Celsius.

Clouds will form in places with isolated showers and occasional thunderstorms. Summer temperatures will be affected by a cold front from Thursday, Meteorologist Dagmar Honsová said.

On Monday, we can expect isolated low clouds or even fog. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated showers. Daytime temperatures range from 22 to 26 degrees Celsius.

The exact temperatures can be expected on Tuesday, with 15 to 11 degrees Celsius in the morning and 22 to 26 degrees during the day. It will be cloudy to partly cloudy with isolated showers or thunderstorms.

On Wednesday, morning temperatures will again be in the 15 to 11 °C range, with afternoon highs of 23 to 27 °C. It will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated showers or thunderstorms.

Clouds and precipitation will be much heavier on Thursday. “It will be cloudy to overcast, with rain or showers in places and occasional thunderstorms,” Honsová warned, adding that the east of the territory will be partly cloudy early in the day.

Thursday morning temperatures will be between 15 and 11 degrees, with daytime highs between 22 and 26 degrees.

Temperatures will gradually drop over the rest of the week. Friday will be cloudy, with showers and occasional thunderstorms. Morning temperatures will range from 14 to 10 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs reaching 20 to 24 degrees Celsius.

The weekend will be cloudy to partly cloudy with occasional showers, with morning temperatures expected to be between 13 °C and 9 °C on both days. Daytime temperatures are expected to range between 17 and 21 degrees Celsius on Saturday and between 15 and 19 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

“However, the week of September 12 onwards will return afternoon temperatures of just over 20 degrees,” Honsová concluded.
