The Crown Jewels have been on display since Tuesday

On Monday, the Crown Jewels of the Czech Republic were transferred from the Crown Chamber in the Chapel of St. Wenceslas in St. Vitus Cathedral to the Chapel of St. Vitus. The jewels will be on display to the public from January 17th to January 21st between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, with free admission.

The display of the jewels coincides with the 30th anniversary of the founding of the independent Czech Republic. Along with the jewels, visitors will also have the opportunity to see the skull of St. Wenceslas, which is usually only on display on September 28th. Visitors must go through security frame checks before entering the Castle.

The entrance to the jewels will be through the west facade of St. Vitus Cathedral, and visitors can use the route from the southern gardens near Opysh via the Bull Staircase to the third courtyard of the Castle. Due to operational reasons, no timed tickets or reservations will be issued and only visitors in wheelchairs will have priority access, upon presentation of a valid ZTP or ZTP/P card. Bulky luggage will not be allowed in the cathedral area and can be left in the cloakroom in the Old Royal Palace.
