The fifteenth year of Vintage in Grébovce invites you to Dvojka

During its 14-year existence, the grape harvest in Grébovce has gained a reputation as one of the biggest events of autumn Prague. This year, it takes place on September 23 and 24 at already traditional locations, i.e. on Náměstí Míru and in Havlíčkové sady (Grébovce). As usual, visitors can expect a rich accompanying program, performances by popular musical groups such as Eddie Stoilow or Děda Mládek Illegal Band. There will also be an energetic drumming show and a special program for children. The great musician Petr Rezek also chose the vintage in Grébovce for the christening ceremony of his latest album.

In addition to several music concerts and the offer of dozens of stalls with wines, burčák, gastronomic specialties and handicrafts, this year’s Vintage in Grébovce with the motto Come to Dvojka will be enriched by various performances. They will take place on both days on the main and side stages and also outside of them.  “When we were choosing the motto for this year’s vintage, we were clear quite quickly. The magical number 2 accompanies us every step of the way, in the year 2022 and in the name of the district. We also symbolically started the Year of Dvojka on February 2, 2022, which is why the vintage with the motto Come to Dvojka is a logical continuation of the series of events that we have prepared for our citizens as part of the Year of Dvojka. This year we are building on a long-standing tradition and coming up with something new again. In advance, we scattered dozens of wooden tokens around Grébovce. Anyone who finds a token and hands it in on Saturday, September 24, at the stand of our city district, will receive a pair of burčák free of charge,” says the mayor of Prague 2, Alexandra Udženija, who, together with other councilors of Prague 2, will officially open this year’s vintage.
Harvesting in Grébovce is an event for the whole family, so it doesn’t forget the children either. A special program including creative workshops and face painting will be prepared for them in the lower part of the park. Every year, the grape harvest at Grébovce proves that the tradition of Prague vineyards, as founded in the Middle Ages by Charles IV, is still alive today.
