The variety of Prague’s nature will be presented in the film Planeta Praha
How many “inhabitants” does Prague have? The incredible and unexpected diversity of Prague’s nature will be presented by the film Planeta Praha, which will be released in Czech cinemas on August 4. In it, viewers will see more than fifty animal and plant species fighting for their place in the concrete jungle of the capital. Actor Jiří Macháček narrated the commentary for the film.
This time, the makers of the award-winning film Planeta Česko set out on an expedition into the capital’s concrete jungle. Next to us humans live here unexpected animal neighbors whose daily adventures the filmmakers recorded from an exceptionally close range thanks to state-of-the-art technology. Where in Prague did the majestic mouflons come from? What does a green-footed hen do, which nutria takes the opportunity to nest? In which winter hiding place does a cute dormouse hide in Petřín? And what about the horned, will he find his partner in the nocturnal splendor of the garden restaurant? Go on an exciting quest for the whole family to find dozens of other animal heroes who secretly live in our metropolis.
The adventurous trip to the metropolis, whose territory, for example, hosts the most species of plants in the Czech Republic and provides animals with a unique and diverse environment, is the work of director Jan Hošek, producer Radim Procházka and ten cameramen led by Jiří Petr. The film Planet Prague, which will be accompanied by a book of the same name from the Jakost publishing house, will be shown in cinemas by Aerofilms
