Ukraine, Czech Republic agree to maintain ‘active’ cooperation

ANKARA

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Czech Republic President Petr Pavel agreed Sunday to maintain “active” cooperation.

“The support of the Czech Republic is important for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression,” Zelenskyy told Pavel in a phone call.

“I congratulated him on officially taking office. I outlined the situation on the frontline and our security needs,” Zelenskyy said on Twitter.

The two leaders also discussed Ukraine’s membership to the EU.
