UniCredit Prague relay will be attended by up to 7,000 competitors in two days

One of the most euphoric cross-country races is here. The UniCredit Pražská relay, in which friends or colleagues from work or industry can measure strength on four five-kilometer sections, takes place on 27 and 28 June at the Exhibition Centre Prague. “Up to 7,000 competitors could be involved in both days. The Prague Relay is always a celebration of movement, life and there is also, of course, a sufficient amount of competition,” said Carlo Capalbo, president of the RunCzech organizing team, which is also hosting the world famous 1/2 Marathon Prague, the Prague Marathon and the Grand Prix in the metropolis. “I am very pleased that we can build on last year and be again a partner of UniCredit Prague Relay as well as 7,000 participants in this beautiful race,” said Tomáš Drábek, director of retail banking at UniCredit Bank.
The 1st edition of the running festival, which also includes this year’s Music Festival, will practically begin as early as June 26 at Running Mall, where competitors can pick up their starting number and package. The races start a day later at 17:00 with the popular dm bambini run, at 18:00 the first members of the relays will start in Stromovka and along with them members of the teams of bankers and diplomats will also engage in a duel with the track. The next day there are other races for children (from 2 to 7 years for 100, 150 and 200 metres) on the same dates, followed by a second main race involving teams of medics and staff and members of chambers of commerce.
You can register at www.runczech.com. But with the purchase of a starter fee, participants get a lot more than “just a race.” They can treat the event as teambuilding, a bachelor party or a school meeting after a few years. At the same time, it is possible to raise the profile of your project or company while running. Athletes can also take advantage of a training session dedicated to the Prague Relay for free as part of running Mall.
Before the race, registered runners will then receive a picnic box with a blanket and a racing T-shirt from Birell. And if they’re left with any strength, they can have a fun night at the Music Festival after competing with a medal on their hands. It is also possible to order a fully equipped tent at the destination corridor for 50 visitors, in which it will guarantee the comfort of the whole team, VIP guests and fan club catering from Hilton Prague.
UniCredit Pražská štafeta also has a charitable overlap. It is affiliated with Light for the World, which focuses on treating blindness, improving quality of life and advocacy work for the benefit of people with disabilities in the least developed parts of the world.
