Where beer is brewed

It is the goal of a new project launched by the Czech Association of Breweries and Malthouses to show that Czech breweries are not only places where they can brew the best lager in the world, but also a world where people take care of the Czech brewing tradition and come up with new trends. It’s called Where beer is brewed and it wants to present the most interesting things in the field. Inspirational women, news, packaging trends or young talents, whether they come from a mini-brewery or a large-scale brewery.  “Through our new project Where Beer is Brewed, we are celebrating today’s Czech brewing industry and showing that this is a successful and diverse field. At the same time, it is also a proof of the strength, togetherness and cohesion of our industry, “explains Martina Ferencová, Executive Director of the Czech Association of Breweries and Malthouses.

The project is divided into several topics, in which the association will show interesting personalities, projects, stories and trends that are beneficial for the field. The first theme called Women Brewing Beer will start symbolically on March 8. It will introduce several Czech brewers who are specifically developing the current brewing industry. The novelty of the year will focus on beer trends. It will show the stories of the creation of the new recipe and present interesting news that have attracted attention over the last twelve months. The young talent will highlight young people under the age of 35, who in the last year have been most interested in their work and thus contributed to the development of the field. They can be brewers, brewers, maltsters, hop growers or researchers.
