Where to go in Prague!

Prague is a great city to visit with amazing history beautiful architecture, fantastic food and something for everyone! The city is easy to get around and you can visit many of the different neighbourhoods where you will find some real hidden treasures.

10 is the magic number!

There are 10 main districts in Prague which follow a spiral pattern going from the centre Prague 1. Starting on the banks of the River Vltava you can be sure that as you walk through each district you will find plenty of neighbourhood character!

Walk or Ride

Prague is small enough that you with a good pair of walking shoes you can get round it on foot – but don’t be deceived you need to be a good walker as some parts are hilly. There is also a great metro, buses and the historic trams, all the details on fares and timetables can be found here: https://www.dpp.cz/en

Some of the sights

To say that Prague is beautiful is an understatement the Old Town and Malá Strana are not to be missed and although the second is called the Lesser Town there is nothing Lesser about central Prague. The most famous of the Old Town sights are the Old Town Hall, the Our Lady Before Týn church, the Astronomical Clock, the Charles Bridge and the old Jewish Quarter. Malá Strana is where you can find many of the Czech Parliament buildings, museums and the castle. The Medieval Tavern – U krále Brabantského is also a not to be missed area of interest, here you can go into old style shops, restaurants and bars to sample the local ales.

If that’s not enough head to the New Town (Nově Město) and Vinohrady. In the urm not really 800 year old New Town Wenceslas Square is probably the go to tourist destination but for foodies it’s also where you can find some of the best local street food. The Vinohrady is the 14th century vineyard hang out with the locals in the plentiful cafes and restaurants or just sit in some of the tranquil squares and watch the world go by.
